نظمت اللجنة الوطنية الأردنية لحملة "مئة عام على وعد بلفور"، ظهر اليوم الأربعاء، اعتصاماً أمام السفارة البريطانية في العاصمة الأردنية عمان، بالتزامن مع وقفات مشابهة أمام سفارات بريطانيا في كلٍ من : القدس ، الأراضي المحتلة عام ٤٨، غزة، دمشق، بيروت، القاهرة، تونس، تشيلي، لندن، ادنبره، بلفاست.
وشارك في الاعتصام شخصيات حزبية ونقابية ووطنية ونسائية، ورفع المشاركون شعارات تندد بموقف وسياسة بريطانيا المنحازة والداعمة للكيان الصهيوني المجرم، والتنديد بوعد بلفور المشؤوم الذي (أعطى من لا يملك لمن لايستحق) ونتائجه الكارثية بعد مرور مئة عام من التنكر لحقوق الشعب العربي الفلسطيني والتطهير العرقي والجرائم الصهيونية.
وحاولت قوات الأمن منع الاعتصام وقامت بتوقيف اثنين من المشاركين، إلا أن قيادة الاعتصام أصرت على البقاء واستكمال وقفتها أمام السفارة وإطلاق سراح الموقوفين، وهذا ما تم بالفعل حيث تم اطلاق سراحهم قبل انتهاء الاعتصام.
وقام وفد من لجنة المتابعة للحملة برئاسة الدكتور رياض النوايسة منسق اللجنة بتسليم مذكرة باللغتين العربية والانجليزية تتضمن مطالب الحملة من مجلس العموم والحكومة البريطانية.

فيما تتواصل نكبة الشعب العربي الفلسطيني، وجريمة استعمار فلسطين الوطن الاصلي والتاريخي للشعب الفلسطيني، نقترب من ذكرى مرور قرن على اصدار بريطانيا وعد بلفور في 2 تشرين الثاني 1917. والذي أعطت بريطانيا فيه وطننا فلسطين للحركة الصهيونية.
وقد جاء ذلك الوعد غير الشرعي وغير القانوني في سياق مشروع بريطاني استعماري يهدف الى إقامة قاعدة غربية عبر خلق "وطن قومي" لليهود في فلسطين على حساب الشعب العربي الفلسطيني وأرضه.
ولا تزال بريطانيا وحلفاؤها الغربيون، وتحديداً الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية قائدة منظومة الإستعمار الحديث، يوفرون مظلة حماية لـ"إسرائيل" ممارسة الاستعمار الاحتلالي، والابارتهايد، والتهجير القسري؛ ومنتهكة ومتنكرة بشكلٍ سافر لحقوق شعبنا العربي الفلسطيني غير القابلة للتصرف وفي مقدمتها حق العودة لدياره التي هجر منها وتقرير المصير.
إن معاناة الشعب العربي الفلسطيني ومأساته منذ مئة عام، ما كانت لولا ممارسة بريطانيا سياستها الاستعمارية، والتي شملت خلال فترة الإنتداب 1917- 1948: تهجير أكثر من أربعمائة ألف فلسطيني وتجريدهم من الجنسية، والإستيلاء على ممتلكاتهم ونقلها الى المستعمرين، وتسليح وتدريب المستعمرين الصهاينه، وقمع المقاومة الفلسطينية بأبشع الوسائل، وتدمير المجتمع الفلسطيني بكل مقوماته وصولاً الى تقسيم فلسطين وإقامة "اسرائيل."
ولأن نكبة الشعب العربي الفلسطيني عام 1948 مستمرة، ترتكبها "إسرائيل" بأدوات سياسية وقانونية سنتها ومارستها بريطانيا من قبل، كقوانين مصادرة الأراضي، وهدم البيوت، والاعتقال الإداري، والإبعاد، والعقاب الجماعي، واستمرار تشريد 7,9 مليون فلسطيني وحرمانهم من حقوقهم الوطنية والإنسانية الأساسية وفي مقدمتها حقهم في العودة والعيش على ارض وطنهم؛ ولأن النكبة ما كانت لتستمر لولا الدعم البريطاني والغربي السياسي والعسكري والدبلوماسي والاقتصادي والإعلامي اللامحدود لـ"إسرائيل" حتى اليوم.
فإننا نحن أبناء الشعب الأردني العربي نقف مع أشقائنا الشعب العربي الفلسطيني في فلسطين بحدودها الانتدابية والشتات قوى وفعاليات ومؤسسات ومنظمات مجتمع مدني، نتوجه إلى أحرار العالم والمؤمنين بحقوق الإنسان والعدالة والقيم الإنسانية للتوقيع والانخراط في حملة :
مئة عام على التنكر لحقوق الشعب العربي الفلسطيني والتطهير العرقي وذلك للضغط على مجلس العموم البريطاني والحكومة البريطانية ومطالبتهما بما يلي:
_ الإعلان رسمياً عن عدم شرعية وعد بلفور، الذي لا يزال يجري توظيفه لتهجير الشعب العربي الفلسطيني وتجريده من حقوقه الأصيلة.
_ الاعتذار الرسمي للشعب العربي الفلسطيني على تبعات ونتائج وعد بلفور كافة.
_ الاعتراف والإقرار بالمسؤولية التاريخية، والقانونية، والإنسانية / الأخلاقية عن الأضرار الجسيمة التي لحقت بالشعب العربي الفلسطيني وأفراده، جراء إصدار وإنفاذ وعد بلفور.
_ الإقرار بوجوب جبر تلك الأضرار وفقاً لقواعد القانون الدولي ومبادئ العدالة والإنصاف، وبما يضمن عودة اللاجئين الى ديارهم وتقرير المصير.

A Century on the Balfour Declaration-A Century of Ethnic Cleansing and Denial of Palestinian Rights
We call on the international community and all peace and justice loving people to join the campaign to call on the Government and Parliament of the United Kingdom to:
Reject the Balfour Declaration including its role as an instrument of displacement and dispossession of the Palestinian people.
Acknowledge their historic, legal and moral responsibility for damages sustained as a result of the implementation of the Balfour Declaration.
Institute reparations to the Palestinian people in accordance with the provisions and principles of international law, justice and equity, which guarantee the right of return of the Palestinian refugees to their homeland and the right of self-determination.
Issue an official apology to the Arab Palestinian people for their role in issuing the Balfour Declaration and making possible the displacement and dispossession of the Palestinian people.
Palestinian National Popular Campaign against Balfour Declaration
2017 marks the the centenary of the Balfour Declaration, issued on 2 November 1917, which began the continuing colonisation of Palestine – the indigenous and historic home of the Palestinian people.
The Balfour Declaration by the colonial power, Britain, which had no legal or legitimate standing, granted Palestine to the Zionist movement. This was in the context of the British colonial enterprise aimed at establishing a strategic base for the Western colonial powers in Palestine at the expense of the Arab Palestinian people.
The United Kingdom, along with its powerful state allies, led by the United States of America, continues to play a major role in conferring legitimacy and protection upon Israel’s settler colonial regime, apartheid and forcible removal of Palestinians from their land.
This allows Israel to act with impunity and to continue to deny the Palestinian people their fundamental right of return to their indigenous homes from which they or their ancestors were uprooted in 1948, and the right of self-determination.
If it were not for British colonial intervention and collusion with the Zionist movement one hundred years ago, the fate of the Arab Palestine people would have been much different. Between 1917 and 1948, British colonial policies included facilitating Zionist colonisation and settlement in Palestine; the forcible removal of more than 400,000 Palestinians between 1947 and 1948; the theft and illegal transfer of dispossessed Palestinians’ property to the Zionist colonisers; the training and arming of Zionist militias; the brutal suppression of Palestinian resistance; facilitating the 1947 partition; and the establishment of Israel as a settler colonial state on Palestinian land.
Through widespread forcible removal, colonisation and apartheid, Israel inflicted the Nakba upon the Palestinian people in 1948 by utilising policies and laws initiated and enforced during the British Colonial rule in Palestine. These policies of forced eviction including land confiscation, denial of residency, closure and isolation, home demolition, administrative detention and punitive suppression.
Furthermore, the Palestinian Nakba has been enabled by the unconditional political, military, diplomatic and economic support of Israel by Western powers, led by the United Kingdom and the United States. The Balfour Declaration initiated a process of colonisation of land and labour, forced evictions, apartheid and racism that has resulted in the displacement of 7.9 million Palestinians, colonisation, and military occupation, thus denying fundamental and inalienable rights.
We, the undersigned pledge our support to Palestinian people in historic Palestine and the diaspora, political parties, civil society organisations, coalitions and individuals, in their call to all the people of the world who believe in human rights and justice to endorse and engage in the international campaign
